Vigor, we know, are not alone in feeling the frustrations of the current endless process of pushing small wind planning applications through the planning system. Our issues range from application fees, through to EIA requirements, to noise and on and on. Whatever the reasons, there seems to be little or no will to process any application within the required timeframe stipulated.
This seems strange when so much is made of the incentives and targets by the Government.
What is really frustrating is the lack of any objectivity to the process. One council may have one policy, the other an other - even with simple issues like application fees.
I would be very happy to work and share our planning application experiences with any of our partners or any other associated businesses. Together, we should be co-ordinating regional approaches and methodology accordingly.
To our partners we would encourage you all to write to your local MP's. Without the support and political will of the government to move small wind forwards - local authorities will never change. Should you wish to write to your local MP - I would be more than happy to provide you with the necessary information.
Take action now - otherwise things will never happen.
